About the Seminar

Online, in-person, hybrid, synchronous, asynchronous. As educators we have shifted our classes to accomodate learning safely during a pandemic. The way we teach has changed in ways we are only beginning to unpack. Though there were challenges, there were also opportunities. New techniques and technologies emerged to foster new learning environments. This seminar will demonstrate two learning tools – Padlet and Perusal – inherently discussion-based online platforms that can extend and enrich classroom conversations. The talk will reflect on challenges and successes in adopting these tools across a range of learning environments and suggest their potential in building classroom community.
