We are happy to announce that Mindy Li will be joining the Faculty as our new HR Specialist, a shared role with the Faculty of Land & Food Systems.
This position is responsible for providing advice and recommendations on all HR management matters to ensure best practices are established in both LFS and Forestry. The role will work closely with the HR team in providing guidance and support to HR processes such as recruitment, reclassifications, absence management, conflict resolutions, salary administration, return to work and wellbeing initiatives. Mindy brings extensive UBC experience as she started off her UBC career at LFS as their Finance & HR Assistant, working her way up to Assistant Manager, Finance & HR, since then she has worked as an Internal Auditor at the Department of Internal Audit, Senior Financial Analyst at Medicine and most recently, Senior Consultant for Enterprise Risk and Assurance. Mindy holds a Bachelor of Commerce from UBC Sauder and is a CGA.
Mindy’s first day in this role will be Monday, January 8, 2024 where she will be at LFS in the mornings and Forestry (FSC 2711) in the afternoons so please come by and introduce yourself (either virtually or in-person)! Mindy can be reached at mindy.li@ubc.ca.
