As we celebrated the United Nations International Day of Forests yesterday, the Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC) was pleased to unveil the Chisholm Awards for Innovation in Forestry – a brand new annual program built to recognize youth leadership and innovation in the forest sector; at production facilities, in the forest, along the supply chain, or via product innovation.
The program honours the legacy of Robert F. Chisholm – a former champion of the Canadian forest sector – by rewarding and showcasing the work of young researchers who are passionate about climate-positive forestry and forest products, clean manufacturing, and the emerging forest bioeconomy.
Winners will be celebrated on May 9 – 13, 2022, during the United Nations Forum on Forests.
