We are moving FASmail from on-premise to the cloud!

In response to the need for remote teaching and learning in June 2020, UBC proactively introduced Microsoft Teams and OneDrive, marking the initial phase of our campus-wide Microsoft 365 journey. As the next step in our M365 adoption journey, UBC is introducing a suite of M365 applications into our technology environment. This will pave the way for more integrated collaboration tools and streamlined workflows in the years ahead.

To get started, UBC is initiating the M365 Foundational Services Project to prepare for increased university-wide M365 adoption. This project involves migrating our email service from on-premises to the cloud. This migration will enable us to take advantage of the latest email technology to ensure that our university’s email system is secure, reliable, and integrated with other collaboration tools.

We will be hosting information sessions for those who would like to learn more about the email migration project. Each information session will include an overview of the project and Q&A.

The M365 project team is committed to collaborating with the university community, and we look forward to working with you as we embark on UBC’s M365 journey.
