The issue of adequate funding for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows is a crucial one. This is a conversation that the Faculty of Forestry, and the University more broadly, is actively engaged in with at multiple levels and through various initiatives, programs and formal processes.
In addition, you are likely aware of grassroots organizations, like Support Our Science (SOS), who are calling on the federal government to increase funding for graduate students and postdocs through awards and Tri-Agency funding.
