The call for nominations for the Killam Postdoctoral Research Fellowships is now open. The UBC Killam Postdoctoral Research Fellowships are provided annually from the Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Fund for Advanced Studies and are available for most fields of research. The number of these highly competitive awards offered by UBC varies between three and five per year.

Value: an annual stipend of $50,000 for a maximum of two years plus a travel and research allowance of $4,000 over two years.

Faculty of Forestry Allocation, Procedure and Deadline:

  • The Faculty of Forestry is allowed to forward one nomination from each department (FRM, WS, FSC) to this competition.
  • Please review the application and eligibility guidelines closely and forward applications directly to me at: Shannon.Hagerman@ubc.ca by November 1, 2022.
  • Eligible/complete applications will be adjudicated by the three Department Heads and the Associate Dean Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.
  • The successful nominees will then be forwarded on to the UBC competition.
