UBC Forestry Presents:

An Understanding Mental Health Workshop: How to Support Yourself and Others

Tuesday, June 7th @ 10 am – noon | Zoom

Please join us for this workshop that aims to increase everyone’s mental health literacy while providing tools and skills to respond effectively in a caring and respectful way. The session will be followed by a brief overview of the Early Alert and Green Folder processes with Nicole Adoranti, our embedded counsellor within forestry, as well as the opportunity for you to provide feedback on faculty needs around the support of mental health of our community.

The training will allow you to:

  • Better understand mental health and mental illness
  • Structural and social barriers to seeking help
  • Learn how to respond when concerned about a family member, friend or colleague

This workshop is open to all UBC Forestry staff and faculty. A recording of this session will be available for those unable to attend.
